PEDRO KORSHI EXTRA - Exaggerated Shoulder Jacket With Pointed Sleeves
Between a piece and another, I have been working on my spring 2014 collection, no rush and calmly I come up with different ideas of garments I want to wear right now which are not part of the collection I've been working on. I have always been obsessed with maxi silhouettes that could either be exaggerated shoulders or a pair of strong sleeves, a super high collar or voluminous back.
Just made this exaggerated shoulder jacket/blazer a couple of weeks ago, of faux leather which people use to upholster sofas and chairs, and that is how I feel when I am in this boxy jacket - like a sofa. Honestly it is not one of the most comfortable jackets I have ever had as the leather is quite stiff.
I made the decision to not line it and leave the edges completely raw, without hems and buttons because I thought it would be a good idea as the jacket itself is already ... 'shaped'.

Double-Layer Trousers
Flip-flops - Adidas + DIY
Double-layer trousers - Pedro Korshi AW13-4
Double-bag - Pedro Korshi AW13-4
Tee - Asos
Sunglasses - Quay Australia via asos.com
Blazer - second-hand
I have been getting rid of some leftover leather materials lately but in a productive way, for ecological reason as the world is full of rubbish - it could be either using them to make some accessories or attaching them to some of my garments. This time I decided to make a trouser waist to look like like there is another pair of trousers underneath.

PEDRO KORSHI Cropped Top SS13
I have been
working on my
Spring 2014 collection
and orders at the same time,
without break, day-off and yesterday
I saved a couple of hours to finally put a
full-stop into the spring 2013, which I had
sketched AGES ago.
As you can see,
I made it in the same colour,
material and even cut as the cocoon-sleeved
top, the different between them is just the length.
I was completely obsessed with cocoon sleeves, cocoon
everywhere, so much so that I made several
pieces with the same sleeve cut.
Bye bye Spring 2013
collection. Let's
move on!

Pedro Korshi Two-Tone Jacket SS13
Just about to finally finish the Spring 2013 collection, there are still two pieces to be shown on the blog. I am already focusing on my Spring 2014 one and the SS13 isn't done yet.
The idea was to make a half of the cocoon jacket (here) and the other half of the short sleeved one (here) in reversed colours and in leather.

Two-tone Shorts
Just made a pair of royal blue leather shorts, using leftover materials from my old collections, like the leather I used last year to make a pleat skirt and -in the back- gabardine, a kind of fabric I will always use in my works.
An anonymous asked me through 'Ask me' on Tumblr what this recycling project is really about. It is just a project about clothes I make using material that I had no plans to use but materials I leave in my fabric-box. They will not be included in my brand, just a personal project that helps ecologically the world. Simple.

PEDRO KORSHI - Short Sleeve Jacket - SS13
I had drawn my spring 2013 collection ages and ages ago. I stopped it and decided to start a new one. I was (and still am) and wanted to be 100% focused on my work, on my autumn collection, I was pretty excited to make my first lookbook ever. Nights and nights sleepless. Three/four months of hard-work. Either I would stop something and start a new 'thing' or my collections would be always backward compared to the other runways.
Anyway, this is just one of five pieces that will be posted this month from SS13 collection . A short sleeve jacket. It is made of gabardine in black and has the same square neck (when buttoned) as the other pieces you have probably seen - HERE.
My mum said it reminds her of either a chef jacket or a vestment - not sure about the short sleeves. But well, that's not a bad idea though.

DIY Oversized Knee-length Shorts
There are two ways to wear oversized shorts - two pleats or just one.
You will need:
-A pair of trousers, large enough to almost fit two of you in.
-Safety pins or snaps
-Scissors
-Put them on and measure below the knee using a pen then cut off the legs.
-Make two pleats - or just one - and fold them/it outwards. Add a couple of safety pins or snaps inside of the fold/s.

DIY White Leather Sleeves
I'm sure that you have done that DIY project to cut off the jacket
sleeves to wear during the summer, right? As every summer I feel scissors
become our best-friends and never go out of our hands. And now, for autumn the idea is to put things
that we have taken away back – which would make us warmer. Doesn't that make
sense?
The idea of this DIY project is nothing less, nothing more
than a pair of sleeves as seen at Dries Van Noten – menswear and womenswear -,
glove sleeves as seen at Maison Martin Margiela and long gloves as seen at
Givenchy, Alexander Wang and others and others – also for men as seen at Zhang Chi.
All you need is:
- Leather
- A blazer
- a pair of safety pins
- sewing machine
And all you have to do is - copy the jacket sleeves, use a sewing machine to close them and attach them - with the safety pins - to the tee or jumper, or sweatshirt SLEEVES that you want to wear them with.

DIY Exaggerated Shoulder Shirt
When it comes to shapes - shoulders and sleeves are my favourites. Exaggerated shoulders is the most obvious DIY project existed so far. But still there are people who don't know how to apply shoulder pads in a shirt or some top-wear.
You will need:
- a pair of shoulder pads - For this shirt, I've used a large pair of sew-in pads.
- a shirt - preferably a larger one than you normally wear.
- pins
- thread and needle
1 - Fold the shoulder pad in half lengthways with a pin.
2 - Put the fold against the shoulder seam of the shirt.
3 - Pin the pad to the shirt at each end of the shoulder seam.
4 - Take out the pin which you used to fold the pad, now it's correctly placed.
5 - At one end of the seam, sew a few stitches into the pad through to the fabric - six or seven stitches is enough - then secure the thread before cutting off the tail end.
If you can't find any shoulder pads that make you completely happy with, just follow these instructions HERE.

They Will Always Be There!
Tees and shirts from H&M, asos, topman and Yves Saint Lauren.
"They'll always be there" – small, medium, large t-shirts; slim, wide trousers... What do they have in common? – the colours I mean the colour table which is monochrome.

Some people say that the most important thing that everyone
must have in wardrobe is a pair of jeans, some others say different bags and
others a pair of earring. YES! My sister is one of them who says the most
important thing is a pair of earrings and when she forgets to put them in she
says that she’s feeling completely naked.
I would say my wardrobe must have, at least a black, white
and grey t-shirts, a pair of slim fit suit trousers in black and another pair
in white. Am I the only person in the world who DOES NOT have a pair of jeans?
Am I the only person in the world who never wears jeans? - Probably one of them. The last time I wore
jeans was because of fashion trends – oh! that’s ridiculous! But no problem, it
was a great chance to find out that I really don’t like denim.
Today I was cleaning my wardrobe as every three months and I
discovered that I've got all types of trousers in – slim, harem, high waist
ones… - the only trousers that are missing in my wardrobe are the wide leg ones
because I couldn't find any good ones that fit perfectly on me. But let’s try out some wide leg trousers by Margiela for H&M (in exactly one month).

PEDRO KORSHI Lapel-Less Wool Jacket
Primarily, sorry for the rare posts, I've been very busy these last few weeks that I had no time to blog, but I'm back!
The first PK piece that is not made from leather, features a relaxed box silhouette, is made from felted wool and doesn't have any pockets.
When my grandmother taught me to sew, she hadn't taught me how to make lapels; I swear I tried to but the result wasn't the best and that's not why I made a lapel-less jacket I just found the idea interesting.

PEDRO KORSHI: Elastic Waist Trousers - Autumn 2012
Do track trousers have to be made from tactel? or some lightweight fabric? Do they have to have side ribbons? Is it necessary to have any Nike logo or even Adidas? Or is it better to call these trousers motorcycle-trousers?
I'm sooooooooo obsessed with sportswear that I do not want to stop wearing my track trousers (or track pants if you are on the other side of the planet).
Now and beyond!

PEDRO KORSHI - Leather Oversized Quilted Top - Autumn / Winter 2012-3
After making a quilted skirt a couple of months ago and seeing that the result was positive, many ideas came to my mind BUT, particularity I don't think I will make something else with the same ~effect~, because It would become a uniform anyway.
It is as warm as if you were wearing about three clothing-layers. Modestly, I love it! Not because it's made by myself but it's actually beautiful and I would say that it's the best piece I have made ever but I also love that white jacket.
